清晨6时许，伴随着雄壮的国歌和东方一缕朝霞，五星红旗在天安门冉冉升起，庆祝祖国72岁华诞。数万名市民和游客齐聚天安门广场，见证这一庄严时刻。
A flag-raising ceremony was held in celebration of the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, at Tian'anmen Square in Beijing, on Oct 1, 2021.

一年365天，天安门广场的升旗仪式与太阳的节奏同步，唤醒一座城市的梦，唤醒一个国家的清晨。
中国人民解放军仪仗大队国旗护卫队升旗手袁晋爽在央视新闻中介绍，每天清晨在天安门广场升起的国旗都是崭新的，每一面国旗都有其神圣的使命！

《国旗法》规定：不得升挂或者使用破损、污损、褪色或者不合规格的国旗。 No damaged, defiled, faded or substandard National Flag shall be displayed.
为确保国旗的圣洁和完整，天安门广场上空的国旗基本上每天都要更换一面。
清晨，国旗护卫队护送国旗升起。傍晚，将当天的国旗取回，精心叠起放进旗盒，然后编号集中珍藏。
The national flag raised at Tian’anmen Square every day is a brand new one to ensure the purity of it. Early in the morning, the national flag guard will raise the flag and in the afternoon they lower it. Then they carefully fold it and put it into the flag box and number it.
更换下来的国旗，由天安门地区管理委员会负责收藏保管。具有特殊历史意义和参加过重大活动后的国旗，则会被特别保管。
保存在旗库中的国旗
比如1949年天安门广场上升起的第一面国旗作为国家一级文物保存在中国国家博物馆，历次国庆庆典上所升降的国旗曾随“神舟”一号飞船翱翔太空，现在也被有关部门收藏。
The first national flag hoisted at Tian’anmen Square in 1949 is preserved in the National Museum of China as the first grade cultural relic. Flags raised at previous celebrations of the National Day have flown in space with Shenzhou 1 spacecraft.

这些在天安门广场上空飘扬过的国旗还会带着国家荣誉继续完成它们的使命。
赠与学校
今年秋季新学期的开学典礼上，云南丽江华坪女子高中收到了天安门管委会赠送的一份特殊礼物——2008年9月1日天安门广场上升起的五星红旗。那一天，是华坪女子高中第一次开学的日子。
At the opening ceremony for the new semester, China's first free high school for girls received a special gift, the national flag raised at Beijing's Tian'anmen Square on Sept 1, 2008, the day the school was founded. The Tian'anmen Management Committee sent the flag to the school to show its appreciation for its founder and principal, Zhang Guimei, and her dedication to girls' education in the nation's less-developed areas.
天安门广场的国旗还作为校庆的珍贵礼物被永久收藏在南京大学档案馆。
因为国旗与南京大学有着深厚的关联，它的主要设计者正是南京大学1936级校友曾联松先生。
在2012年南京大学建校110周年之际，一面曾经高高飘扬在天安门广场的国旗，由天安门地区管委会和武警北京市总队天安门支队专人护送到南大。
除此之外，南昌航空大学、合肥工业大学、暨南大学等也收到过一面来自天安门广场的国旗。

赠与地区
新疆也收到过一面来自天安门广场的国旗。编号1217的国旗在2013年9月30日承载着北京天安门国旗护卫队对天山儿女的情谊来到新疆。
A national flag raised at Tian’anmen Square arrived in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region in 2013 to appreciate its efforts in cherishing the honor of China and upholding the dignity of the national flag.
2013年9月30日，武警新疆总队国旗班旗手展示获赠的天安门广场国旗。
温宿县吐木秀克镇兰干村村民胡达拜地·依明二十多年如一日坚持在自家院子里升国旗。他去世后，儿子继承父亲心愿接力升国旗，让五星红旗永远在边疆飘扬，在心中飘扬。

在新疆，这样爱护祖国荣誉、维护国旗尊严的例子不胜枚举。
赠与单位与企业
除了学校，天安门广场的国旗还被赠送给为社会做贡献的企业和单位。
2019年，多年服务天安门修缮、人民大会堂有关厅室装修改造等国家重点工程的北新建材获赠一面天安门国旗。这面国旗是2019年8月28日北新建材成立四十周年当天天安门广场升挂过的国旗，将在北新建材永久珍藏。
北京大兴国际机场也收到过一面天安门广场的国旗，这面国旗在大兴机场口岸永久陈列。
拥有多个世界之最的北京大兴国际机场让世界为“中国制作”所震撼，被英国《卫报》评为“现代世界七大奇迹”之首。
On September 25, CAAC held a flag-raising ceremony at Beijing Daxing International Airport to mark its first anniversary of operation. The Tiananmen District Administrative Committee presented a national flag to the airport, which will be permanently displayed in the joint inspection hall for international flights on the fourth floor of the airport.
“五星红旗迎风飘扬，胜利歌声多么响亮，歌唱我们亲爱的祖国，从今走向繁荣富强……”
每一天在天安门广场升起的国旗都令我们心潮澎湃，它凝聚着亿万中华儿女的爱国情。
